Spoor & Fisher teams up with South African universities to celebrate World IP Day 2019
Spoor & Fisher has teamed up with various South African universities to mark World IP Day 2019. Observed annually on April 26 since 2000, the event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and seeks to raise awareness of how IP impacts daily life and celebrate the contributions made by innovators to societies globally.
This year’s World Intellectual Property Day celebrates the importance of IP in sports.
Universities in South Africa are a driving force for innovation and these events will improve students’ understanding of Intellectual Property.
Spoor & Fisher is participating in various events* being hosted by top South African universities, keeping with the theme of the day – Reach for Gold: IP and sports.

Spoor & Fisher has also been invited to speak at a World IP Day conference in China, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Shanghai (CCPIT)’s Patent and Trademark Law Office, the Shanghai Trademark Association, and the CCPIT’s office in Shanghai Free Trade Zone.
